The 2025 MVP & Rookie of the Year Nominees
The BP Awards are back!
To help vote on each award, Breaking Point has created a panel of voters from the Community. The panel consists of Breaking Point staff, The Flank & OpTic co-stream teams, the on-air broadcast talent, coaches from professional teams, and select members from media within the space.
Each voter was asked to rank their top five players for each award. Each position earns:
1st: 10 points
2nd: 7 points
3rd: 5 points
4th: 3 points
5th: 1 point
Rookie of the Year
The Black Ops 6 Season saw eleven Rookies join the Call of Duty League, but only one can be crowned Rookie of the Year.
After compiling the voters’ ballots, the search has been narrowed to four. Without further ado, here is the Rookie of the Year nominees:
Diego "SupeR" Escudero - Miami Heretics
SupeR’s clutch factor and elite SND play turned tight games in Miami’s favor, solidifying his place among the league’s most impactful rookies.
Mason "Mercules" Ramsay - OpTic Texas
Mercules brought immediate championship pedigree to OpTic, earning Champs MVP honors in his debut season with sharp mechanics and poise under pressure, as seen in his multiple clutches late in the year.
Saud "Exnid" Alotai - Vegas Falcons
Exnid’s breakout year was defined by his fast-paced SMG play (multiple highlight maps on Vault) and relentless pressure, giving the Falcons a future building block for Black Ops 7.
David "RenKoR" Isern - Miami Heretics
RenKoR’s explosive slaying power and consistency on the AR made him a constant threat, anchoring Miami’s aggressive style all season.
Most Valuable Player
The stage has been set for the race for the Most Valuable Player. Three teams have each won two LANs this season, giving fans a race down to the wire.
After breaking down the voters' ballots, only four players are remaining. Here are the 2025 Most Valuable Player of the Year nominees!
Thomas "Scrap" Ernst - LA Thieves
Scrap dominated the stat sheets with elite gunskill and unshakable confidence, driving LA’s offense in every major tournament run. The shear damage output in every mode made him one of the most impactful players in the game.
Anthony "Shotzzy" Cuevas-Castro - OpTic Texas
Shotzzy’s relentless pace and playmaking brilliance kept OpTic’s tempo high, turning chaotic moments into game-winning opportunities. His fingerprints were all over the Championship runs at Champs & EWC, earning him MVP of the final tournament in Riyadh.
Mason "Mercules" Ramsay - OpTic Texas
Mercules’ rookie season was nothing short of historic, pairing consistent slaying with clutch performances to lead OpTic to back-to-back titles. Very few rookies have ever had the impact Mason had this year, turning OpTic into an instant championship contender.
Paco "HyDra" Rusiewiez - LA Thieves
HyDra’s unmatched speed and precision made him a constant game-changer, overwhelming opponents and setting the pace for the Thieves’ success. From getting 5 pieces against FaZe to clutching nerve-racking rounds, HyDra was him this season.
