Gentle Mates are closing in on assembling a roster worthy of contention after a rocky debut season in the CDL. The French organization swung big earlier in the offseason, pursuing names like Zach "Drazah" Jordan, Joseph "JoeDeceives" Romero, and Tyler "aBeZy" Pharris, but while those moves didn’t land, they showcased the franchise’s clear ambition.
At the top of their current plans is LA Thieves’ in-game leader, Daniel “Ghosty” Rothe. While the Vegas Falcons have also shown interest, sources suggest LA has applied a “Falcons tax” to any buyout, leaving Gentle Mates in pole position.

Alongside Ghosty, the org is targeting SMG duo Travis “Neptune” McCloud and Dylan “Envoy” Hannon, both free agents and straightforward signings compared to other offseason deals.
The biggest question mark lies in the flex role, where they’re in a head-to-head battle with Vegas for Daunte “Sib” Gray from Cloud9 New York. While a buyout was initially expected, recent reports indicate Sib may hit free agency soon. If Vegas wins the race, Gentle Mates are prepared to pivot toward former Royal Ravens Rookie of the Year Isaiah "Gwinn" Gwinn or even Byron "Nastie" Plumridge, who already has proven chemistry with Neptune.
