Cloud9 New York is exploring loan options to rebuild its roster following a surprising turn of events. Just days after placing in the top 12, the organization has decided to completely overhaul its team due to financial constraints.
The franchise has dropped its entire team without any replacements ready to join just 12 days before the CDL restarts. However, we currently understand that they are in talks with the Falcons regarding the loan of Saudi wonderkid Saud "qk4b" Alotaibi, whose expenses would reportedly be covered by the Falcons. As it stands, qk4b seems the most likely player to join Cloud9.

Sources have also indicated that they are interested in the Huntsmen duo, Jonathan "Renegade" Willette and Nicholas "Kips" Lyons, both of whom would likely come as loans. Renegade, in particular, makes sense given his previous connections with the Cloud9 organization in Halo. Both players are relatively young in the competitive CoD scene, which could present some risks. However, given Cloud9's current situation, it is expected that they will have to take these risks.
We've heard several names for a fourth player, but none are solidly linked at this time. Players like Kris "Spart" Cervantez from the Telluride Bush and Joseph "Owakening" Conley from Project Notorious have been mentioned, but it’s wise to approach all these potential moves with caution, as the situation is constantly evolving. Head coach Arian is doing his best to assemble a competitive roster while navigating financial constraints.
