Cloud9 New York has announced that Arian Chitsaz will step into the role of Head Coach for the upcoming Black Ops 7 season. Chitsaz previously served as the assistant to veteran coach Lamar “Accuracy” Abedi during Black Ops 6, but following a disappointing inaugural campaign, the organization has opted for a fresh start.
Last season, Cloud9 failed to make a meaningful impact in the Call of Duty League, falling short of expectations and ultimately parting ways with their entire starting roster, as well as Accuracy. The sweeping reset now places Chitsaz at the forefront of a rebuild, marking his first opportunity to lead a CDL franchise as head coach.

The road ahead won’t be easy. Reports from RonnieIntel suggest that Cloud9 New York is operating on one of the smallest budgets in CDL history, making roster construction an uphill battle. Despite the financial constraints, the organization’s leadership is determined to restore the Cloud9 name to prominence in Call of Duty esports.
For Chitsaz, the promotion represents both a challenge and an opportunity: shaping a roster under strict limitations while carrying the weight of one of the most recognizable brands in competitive gaming. As the Black Ops 7 season approaches, fans will be watching closely to see how Cloud9 navigates this rebuild and whether Chitsaz can help turn the tide for the franchise.
