The Miami Heretics are making a change on the eve of a crucial stretch, announcing the release of Nicolas "Traixx" Monaco as they move to reinstate José "ReeaL" Castilla into the starting lineup. It’s a full-circle moment for the roster: ReeaL, who previously starred for Miami before departing to join Toronto KOI in the offseason, recently had his visa approved and returned to the States, opening the door for the organization to reunite with a known quantity and reconfigure its core once again. Traixx originally joined to fill the void left by that departure, and now finds himself the odd man out as Miami pivots back to their former playmaker.

From a performance standpoint, Traixx can walk away knowing he held his own at the CDL level. Across his time with the Heretics, he posted a 0.99 overall K/D, an 89.9 Slayer Rating, an 11,661 Damage Rating, a 0.98 K/D in respawns, and a 1.05 K/D in Search and Destroy. Those numbers paint the picture of a solid, reliable contributor rather than a liability, especially in SND. He wasn’t the superstar that fundamentally reshaped Miami’s ceiling, but he was a steady piece on a team that consistently hovered in the competitive middle of the pack.
Miami’s results with Traixx in the lineup reflect that profile. The team secured a Top 6 finish at Major I, followed it with a Top 8 at Major II, claimed a strong 2nd place at Minor I, and then landed another Top 8 at Major III. It’s a résumé that shows they were always in the mix, but were never able to live up to the levels they played at in online matches. While ReeaL struggled with KOI this season, he'll look to recindle their magic from previous seasons under the Heretics banner.
