As the Call of Duty League offseason heats up, one of the more intriguing developments surrounds Isaiah "Gwinn" Gwinn, whose contract with the Carolina Royal Ravens has officially come to an end. After a solid 2025 season where he emerged as a consistent playmaker and rising star in the league, Gwinn is now an unrestricted free agent—and already generating serious buzz across the CDL landscape.

According to an earlier report, Gwinn is heavily rumored to be making a move to Cloud9 New York, a team in the midst of a major rebuild following an underwhelming 2025 campaign. If the move comes to fruition, it would represent a major pickup for C9NY, bringing in a young, high-ceiling player known for his slaying ability and high-upside potential. Teams are restricted to making only one roster change before the tournament unless if team's players are free agents before the tournament and need to be replaced (i.e, Carolina Royal Ravens). This move would be the lone acquisition New York could make before the Esports World Cup, but greatly increases their potential.

For the Carolina Royal Ravens, Gwinn’s departure leaves a gap to fill in a roster that showed promise but failed to make a deep postseason run. His exit signals the start of what could be a transformative offseason for the franchise as they look to retool and remain competitive in an increasingly stacked league. It has been reported that the organization is facing a European Revolution, with multiple EU Challenger players being targeted.

Nothing has been finalized yet, but with Gwinn now officially a free agent, expect confirmation—or further surprises—soon. One thing’s for sure: wherever Gwinn lands, he’ll be a player to watch heading into the Esports World Cup & the rostermania that follows.
