FaZe Vegas has made their move. The organization has officially announced the signings of Paco "HyDra" Rusiewiez and Thomas "Scrap" Ernst, and the promotion of Mohammed "Alluka" Bindal from substitute to starting lineup, completing a roster overhaul that leaves Chris "Simp" Lehr as the only returning starter from the team that won Champs.
The reigning champions are almost entirely retooling. With the new squad in place, FaZe sold the trio of World Champions in Jovan "O4" Rodriguez, Jordan "Abuzah" François, and Zack "Drazah" Jordan all being sold to the Paris Gentle Mates,
The Scrap & HyDra duo spent two years together at LA Thieves, where they won a Major, two Minors, and reached two Grand Finals in 2026, but never broke through at Champs. They'll now try to do it in the house that Simp and company just won in. HyDra finished the season at 6th and Scrap at 3rd in our Top 20 Players of Black Ops 7, with HyDra posting a 1.23 SND K/D and 15 clutches, and Scrap leading the league in Hardpoint damage per 10 minutes (3,554).

The final piece is Alluka. Signed by FaZe as a substitute last December after a hot Challengers run, he spent the year in reserve before being loaned to Riyadh Falcons for the CDL Championship, replacing Amer "Pred" Zulbeari in a bid to spark the dwindling roster heading into the two biggest tournaments of the year. It worked well for Riyadh, and he remained with the Falcons through the Esports World Cup, and that experience on the biggest stages of the year now earns him a promotion to the starting lineup.
A flex who played AR in Riyadh, Alluka is expected to pair with Scrap at AR, giving FaZe a two-way look at the position with a young talent next to one of the league's best.
The constant through all of it is Simp. The #1 player of the season in our rankings, he's been the face of FaZe since 2019, and 2026 might have been one of his best years yet. He claimed his third career championship ring, his first since 2021. At Champs alone, he posted a 1.43 SND K/D with a 68.8% opening duel win rate, and at the Esports World Cup he topped the entire league in Slayer Rating (108.4) and damage rating (13,655).
Now he'll lead a roster with three new faces around him. FaZe has never been shy about surrounding Simp with talent, and this might be its most ambitious attempt yet: two of the best players in the entire League paired with a young flex looking to prove himself on a full-time basis. The pressure will be on the new core to deliver, but with Simp anchoring the roster again, FaZe Vegas enters Modern Warfare IV as a threat to win it all.
