FaZe Vegas Announce Departure of O4 and Abuzah

FaZe Vegas' championship core is breaking apart. The organization has confirmed the departure of both Jovan "O4" Rodriguez and Jordan "Abuzah" François, closing the book on a season that delivered the franchise's first title since its relocation from Atlanta.

The pair arrived together last offseason as a package deal out of the ashes of Vancouver Surge, an organization that had come apart after a string of runner-up finishes without ever closing one out. Neither had a ring to show for their talent at that point. That changed fast in Vegas. O4 broke through at Major II with his first professional tournament win, delivering takeover performances in the Grand Final against OpTic Texas that included a 37-21 outing in Map 1 alone. Abuzah matched him blow for blow all year, leading the league in Overload goals and finishing as one of the most objective-minded ARs in the CDL, all while providing exactly the two-way SND threat FaZe needed.

Both players saved their best for Champs. On home turf in Vegas, FaZe rolled through the bracket, survived a five-map eClassico thriller over OpTic in the Winners Final, and closed out a commanding 5-2 win over the same OpTic roster in the Grand Final to claim the title. O4 turned in the best tournament of his career at the exact right moment, posting a league-best 1.30 Hardpoint K/D, a 1.28 SND K/D, and a league-best 71.6% non-traded kill percentage on his way to his first CDL ring. Abuzah was right there with him, closing the tournament with a 1.21 overall K/D and a league-best 1.26 respawn K/D. Together, they helped turn a roster many doubted in the preseason into champions by the end of the year, a fitting payoff for two players who'd spent their careers coming up just short of a title before landing in Vegas.

With their time in Vegas now over, reports have already linked both players to a significant move. Sources indicate O4 and Abuzah are being eyed in a package deal by Paris Gentle Mates, a sale that would reportedly include Zack "Drazah" Jordan as well, reuniting all three ex-FaZe players under one roof alongside SMG Joseph "JoeDeceives" Romero. If the move comes together, it would give Paris one of the most talented rosters in the league heading into Modern Warfare IV, and give O4 and Abuzah a fresh shot at more hardware after the best season of their careers.
