Sources: Cloud9 Closing In on Lurqxx and Pred

Early in the offseason, we reported that Cloud9 New York would emerge from this period with a renewed focus on competing again, following a season that left plenty of fans disappointed. That's exactly what's playing out.

Sources indicate a deal for Logan "Lurqxx" Brown from Carolina Royal Ravens is nearly finalized, with Cloud9 having agreed to pay a buyout for the highly-rated youngster. FaZe Vegas and Riyadh Falcons both showed interest in him at various points last season, underscoring just how significant this signing is for Cloud9.

Sources also indicate former World Champion Amer "Pred" Zulbeari is expected to join Cloud9 alongside Lurqxx, forming a new SMG duo. The pair would be rounded out by experienced EU veterans Jamie "Insight" Craven and Cameron "Cammy" McKilligan, should all the pieces fall into place as expected.
