Sources: Carolina Royal Ravens Closing In on European Trio of Afro, Mythix, and Beans

We previously reported that a potential sale of star player Lurqxx to Cloud9 was in the pipeline, and we can now confirm those talks are ongoing. At this point, it looks like a matter of when, not if, that transfer happens.

Sources indicate Carolina is now targeting three European players: Afro, Mythix, and Beans. Mythix has impressed in EU Challengers over the past few seasons and delivered a strong showing at the recent Esports World Cup with The Pit EU, and Beans has reportedly expressed a desire to play alongside him this offseason.

Beans was a player G2 hoped to retain, but we expect Carolina to land him instead, especially given their willingness to also sign both Afro and Mythix as part of the same package. Afro had drawn interest from Cloud9 earlier in the offseason, but it now appears he'll pass on that opportunity in favor of joining Carolina.

G2 Minnesota had been viewed as the most likely destination for this trio until just a few days ago, when it became clear the organization was unwilling to sort out the necessary visas.
