OMiT Brooklyn SMG Eli "Standy" Bentz is the latest target for the Surge. The former Minnesota & Toronto player has been out of the CDL for the past 12 months, but it looks like his return could be soon. Standy helped the Minnesota Rokkr win an event in his debut season, but unfortunately, he hasn't been able to regain that level of performance since then. He will be hoping to rediscover his form with Surge.

Any potential deal would depend on a buyout, and no agreement has been reached thus far. If a deal can be finalized, the plan is to move Flex player Nero back to his preferred role as an SMG and partner him with Standy.
