The Golden Boot race has a new leader. As we hit the midway point of Stage III, FaZe Vegas’ Jordan "Abuzah" François has finally wrestled the top spot away from former frontrunner Thomas "Scrap" Ernst, capping off a surge that’s turned him into the league’s most prolific finisher in Overload.
This latest update also brings a shakeup to the chasing pack. Both Daniel "Ghosty" Rothe and Matthew "KiSMET" Tinsley break into the top five for the first time this season, rewarding weeks of steady production and clutch scoring, while Zack "Drazah" Jordan and Kaden "Exceed" Stockdale slide out of the leaderboard after slower starts to Stage III. With momentum shifting and more Overload still to play, here’s your updated Golden Boot Tracker for the Black Ops 7 season.
Previous Golden Boot Ranking: March 17th
○ 44 Goals, 10 Assists
○ 20-13 Record, 341.9 Minutes Played
○ 131 Runs (41% Score Percentage)
○ 1.29 Goals per 10 minutes (5th)
Abuzah gets his top spot back on the list, beating out LA's Scrap by 2 goals. While he has more time on the pitch, the Belgian has been very efficient with his scoring opportunities, with 41% of his runs ending in a goal or an assist.
He is one of only 3 players this season with multiple 4-Goal games, accomplishing that at Major II & during the Major I qualifiers. Overall, he leads the League with 14 multi-goal games, doing so in 42% of his maps played. His ability to erupt for multiple goals will keep him firmly in the Top 5 for the rest of the season.

○ 42 Goals, 6 Assists
○ 16-14 Record, 291.4 Minutes Played
○ 130 Runs (37% Score Percentage)
○ 1.44 Goals per 10 minutes (2nd)
Scrap leads the League this season with 6 Hat Trick Games, doing so in 15% of his Overloads played. His consistency keeps him in the Top 5, as he scores on 83% of his maps played, the highest in the League. While his team doesn't have the best record in the mode, Scrap has been one of the best players in the game type.
○ 36 Goals, 7 Assists
○ 15-16 Record, 319.8 Minutes Played
○ 126 Runs (34% Score Percentage)
○ 1.13 Goals per 10 minutes (9th)
Ghosty enters the Top 5 for the Golden Boot for the first time since we started this list, scoring 36 goals this season over 31 maps played.
He is also one of the three players to score 4 goals in a map multiple times, but he was the first to do it on December 13th against the LA Thieves. It is impressive that Ghosty is even within the Top 5, as the Paris Gentle Mates have struggled in the mode & he's the only player on this list with a below .500 win rate in the mode (48%).
○ 35 Goals, 10 Assists
○ 17-10 Record, 274.3 Minutes Played
○ 120 Runs (38% Score Percentage)
○ 1.28 Goals per 10 minutes (6th)
KiSMET just cracks into the Top 5 for Goals scored this season, as he has surged during Stage III with 9 goals scored over the two weeks.
He is another boom or bust scorer, similar to Abuzah, as he has gone scoreless in 30% of his maps played. But the Flex player has 5 Hat Trick games (tied for 2nd most) and has two 4-Goal games. He is the latest player to net 4 goals in a map, doing it this weekend versus Vegas in Winners Round 2 of the Minor. With Riyadh looking very hit-or-miss currently, it's unlikely that KiSMET's stay in the Top 5 is guaranteed.
○ 35 Goals, 8 Assists
○ 22-8 Record, 308.4 Minutes Played
○ 128 Runs (34% Score Percentage)
○ 1.13 Goals per 10 minutes (8th)
Mercules continues his run in the Top 5 this season, just scratching in with 35 goals on the year.
He has averaged a goal per game since we previously did the ranking, but hasn't had the popoff map to get him higher on the list. Overall, he has 5 Hat Trick maps this year, but has gone scoreless in 37% of his maps played. This is mostly due to the entire OpTic Texas team being very good in Overload, so it's hard for Mercules to be a consistent scorer. With a 22-8 record in the mode, they'll keep the formula the same entering the back half of the season.
